I agree, I am not too keen on the traditional hexagon flower pattern, and much prefer to stitch the various fabrics randomly. However I try to distribute the fabrics fairly evenly, without following a specific pattern. I rather like a random, 'scrappy' look ;-)

Great use of color. I have all the fabric, thread and paper pieces to make one for my home. You might get me started.
