This first day of this New Year dawned bright, crisp and beautiful, which made a lovely change from the past few day´s relentless rain (all the snow gone, I´m afraid).
We have had a lovely walk in the woods today, after which it was rather nice to get back indoors to the warm wood fire (of which Zara is making the most of...)
I am thoroughly loving my Christmas pressie, the gorgeous "Dublin bag" in lambswool from Avoca (better seen in photo no. 2). Its colour could not be more perfect, me thinks...
Another lovely Christmas pressie was this cafetière from Le Creuset. Did you ever see a more beautiful blue (my favourite!), I wonder...?
We have already made good use of it as we enjoyed lovely restoring cups of coffee after our walk.

Oh yes, perfect shade of blue, and that blanket is yummy! I'm making my own blanket! It's a very easy crochet pattern, but I love it, well and truly hooked! We've been out today too, so cold but the sun was out and we needed to banish the cobwebs in our heads! :) x

Ohhh... I didn't know Le Creuset made a coffee pot! Lovely! I got 2 bright red Dansk enamel over steel baking pans the other day.. we used them to make baked BBQ ribs and scalloped potatoes last night!
