Calm and bright...

The run up to Christmas is usually a busy one, and more often than not I tend to find myself under a fair bit of stress. This year has been different, though.

Our nearest and dearest have this year chosen to celebrate Christmas under balmier skies, so the cakes were baked early, the presents wrapped and exchanged early, and out little house decorated earlier than usual for the parties.

And now, one week before Christmas, all that is left to do (well, not quite, as I still have some cards to write..) is to enjoy it all. Truth be told I am totally loving it!

The Christmas tree has been decorated with old favourites, things I have collected over the years. As for the presents under the tree, they are still a well kept and prettily wrapped (thanks to family and friends) secret.

Beautiful blog. I would love if you would share how you made your kitchen and living room curtains. I especially love the crocheted lace trim.

Hei Mia!
Kos deg!

Your season is so full of peace and calm. :o) Our family too strived for such and what a difference it has made. Even our large family Christmas day supper will be with ease, we are all contributing something to the meal and genuinely enjoying one another's company.
I plan to do this every year, from now on.
Your blog is precious. I come over very often and want to thank you for sharing your beautiful life with us. You have inspired me in many ways.
Merry Christmas.
Sincerely, Trish

Mia, I definitely connected with this post of yours. Around this time of the year, I love the mixture of briskly moving Christmas preparations blended in with the joyful feeling of seeing it all sort of come together.

I've been very busy today, and now feel as if my relaxation might soon start. I very much look forward to next week and a glorious pace as Christmas nears. Time to think about what we actually are celebrating. xo

Mia.. I am also enjoying the fact that most of my things are done.. it is so nice! I invite you to visit my blog to see my decorations.. quite different from yours as I use lots of red, but similar in the way that I love hanging old favorites on the tree too.

Ah Mia, we are in the same space then. Because our family is far away, everything had to be bought, wrapped and mailed in November. Now there is nothing to do but enjoy the season. No stress, no fuss!
