Today is a special day. A day for celebration. As it is exactly five years ago that I posted my very first "Mias Landliv"-entry on this blog. Five years!!!?
So today I have baked a cake and invited the ones I share this household with to join in on the celebration.
Zara graciously accepted the invitation. As did my hubby.
But the thing with this lot is that as soon as they have had their piece of cake they lose interest and are out of action. (No prizes for guessing what is missing from this picture...)
So I am left to my own devices with the celebrating. Unless you, of course, would like to join in? Or maybe you too have lost interest and think I have worn out my welcome...?
Five years, and a whole lot of repetition, like this latest knit of mine (almost the same, but with a twist). So maybe the time has come to quit while I am ahead... Either way, there is more cake to be had.

Oh, Mia, please don't quit. I live in the US, and frequently "visit" you in your lovely home. My family is a bit unsettled these days -- my son and I are living in the south, my husband is in the north. Home for all of us, just now, is temporary. I watch your gardens through the seasons and dream of my own when my family is reunited and we figure out our housing situation. I take inspiration from your projects, and have even knit my own version of your cabled pillow. You touch more lives and give more of yourself than you realize. It seems as though everyone has been reading between the lines and feel your blog may be coming to an end.... I hope not but understand your reasoning completely. It can often seem that we run out of ideas and lose our blogging muse! Perhaps afer a blog break you will come back refreshed, maybe you could keep your blog open and just post once in a while or as the seasons change. Everyone is right! Please keep on writing your blog as it is so lovely and everyone would really miss you. Blog writers are real people and we feel we get to know you when we read and it is especially enchanting to feel that way about someone who lives far away in another country.
Obviously it is up to you but I do hope you will stay as I do love to read you and see your beautiful pictures. If you do go, please say goodbye to us all and don't dissapear. It is so sad when that happens.
