Where to find inspiration for beautiful spaces...? One good place to look is Rachel Ashwell´s latest book "Shabby Chic Inspirations and Beautiful Spaces".
Her pretty book appeared in my mailbox yesterday, and there sure is lots of wonderful inspiration to be found, if you are "shabby chic-inclined". I especially enjoyed the photos of a shabby man´s home!
I also love old portraits , and therefore totally adore Rachel´s creative nook, including this pretty painting.
Of course there are loads of beautiful homes (twelve, to be exact) to look at and admire in the book, some more theatrical (and maybe a little less livable?) than others.
I am happy to own most of Rachel´s books, and even though I am most pleased to have been able to add her latest book into my collection, I think her previous book is my favourite one to date.

Yes, Mia, I do love this style, but actually feel that your home and the pictures that you share with us show that you could easily produce your own book evidencing how your home and garden evolve through the seasons.
Wish that a publisher would discover your sense of style and wit and contact you.

I to love the Rachel Ashwell look i love the delicate coloure she uses, unfortunately with three children and usually a housefull of their friends ,especially my son who loves football and is usually covered in mud im afraid that gorgeous look wouldnt be practical in our housex maybe one day xx
While I enjoy the photos, I need more colour in my life than Ms Ashwell allows in her Shabby Chic world.
yes very much, she has shopped in the vintage store i manage from time to time, it is very interesting to see. shabby chic is still very popular here, with a kind of beach theme too. sometimes we'll visit her store in l.a. but it is quite expensive.
